ZERO
LOT LINE a form of cluster housing development in which individual
dwelling units are placed on separately platted lots. They may
be attached to one another, but not necessarily.
ZONE
an area set off by local ordinance for specific use, subject
to certain restrictions or conditions.
ZONING
a legal mechanism for local governments to regulate the use of
privately owned real property by specific application of police
power to prevent conflicting land uses and promote orderly development.
ZONING
MAP a map of the local jurisdiction that indicates current zoning
designations.
ZONING
ORDINANCE act of city or county or other authorities specifying
the type of use to which property may be put in specific areas.
